Dude, this is the biggest help the CG and the supreme court have done for TN . The standards and basic knowledge of those qualifying for the NEET and the engineering degrees in TN is extremely poor. The people of TN are one of the most intelligent and hard-working in India .Now they have got an opportunity to shine nationally and improve their standards while they are at it .

Neet is just a national level exam replacing previous state level exams & autonomous medical colleges for all the states.
It helps saving a lot of money to students by making it a single exam
Counselling pattern doesn't change. State persons get their due, Hindi or English will have no role in this exam.

I have not mentioned higher education , I am talking about the standards of the state board schools .simply mugging up mathematical problems or paras from the works of Coleridge and subsequently vomiting them out in the exam and forgetting them later is not going to help develop one's intelligence . Which is what the state board is all about. The neet will be a standardized test, like the gmat or the gre ...and will improve drastically the standards of the higher secondary education in india
