You may don't understand the game, let's me explain to you. China will never agree the third country to join the negotiation of any border issue. We follow the logic in SCS issue too. In that case, the US/Japan are the third countries. If we break it, it means we will also face problems in SCS issue. You need know, that is our core interests. Chance is that, we can take any cost, even the war.
If I am India, I will let Bhutan to negotiate, and provide support in background. Don't tell me India already sign some treaty with Bhutan, and will protect them, we all know it's just a trick, and a rape to a small/weak country.

Bhutan didn't consider itself as a protectorate country of India. In August 1959, there was a rumour in India political circle that China was seeking to 'liberate' Sikkim in 1975 and Bhutan. Nehru stated in the Lok Sabha that the defence of the territorial uprightness and frontiers of Bhutan was the responsibility of the Government of India.[10] This statement was immediately objected to by the Prime Minister of Bhutan, saying Bhutan is not a protectorate of India nor did the treaty involve national defence of any sort.[11]

Chinese are always have a strong sympathy for the colonized country. Once a country lost theirs diplomat, how humiliating it is! I am not angry, I just want show my disgust for that "protect logic".

"China cannot afford a war", I doubt your conculsion. From my POV, “Low Intensity Border Warfare” will help China to show his determination for OBOR, and bring other south ASIA countries into the loop.

In those days, China have sent bomb carrier to Japan and Taiwan for serveral times and conduct another midcourse anti-ballasitc missile test. Thoes are all strong sign of a coming war. Those will warn the other who want to interference to go away. And tell India, Don't think about nuke.

Guy, I visit Quora frequently. And I do talk with some Bhutanese/Nepalese. They wants China to balance India's hegemony. I hope it will helps you understand the facts.

See the world is multipolar , there are some 200 countries I believe who has their own way of understanding things. Just because you can tighten a screw better than the others does not give you sway about others interpretention. China should come out of the bubble and stop trying to implement their way of life onto others.
