There were three plans to tackle power shortage, long term do contains dams include 4 major dams. & whe he says one year to complete power projects on water falls, did he try figure out how that electricity will reach to the consumers? What about line losses when major electricity requirements are in central punjab and southern sindh. Problem is we are having so many blind people in the country who can see how many mini dams m this government is building? there are projects from wind nuclear energy, solar, which are completely ignored by writter. Now lets come on other initiatives, like making Pakistan a strategic corridor, bring up investors in huge lot, infrastructure related huge projects. Yes, its good to take nice ideas from neighboring country, but does both country are on same level todays?

Today indian government has a luxury of surpulse exchanges, their industries, IT, Technology is competing whole world, they dont have security issues like we have here. Some of big billionaires are in India, but when it comes to Pakistan, all politician want to discourage billionaire, under whome thousands of people are employeed, if they were not there than what would happen to Pakistani exports?

How exactly writer missed out initiatives to bring up poor skilled people to get the loan with lowest interest. What about new edication initiatives like more scholarships for higher educations, bring up literacy levelto 100% initiatives..

I do agree they could have done even better, but we should appreciate at least they started, and hopefully they will take good ideas from neighbors and do better than this.

Forget growth and internal security. Lack of Land Reforms is the biggest betrayal done by the Pakistani leadership to it's populace. With a wholly land-owning, elitist Political leadership perpetually controlling the landscape, the middle class/lower middle class has no experience of dreaming big. There are no top Political functionaries from among it's ranks. And this has begun to show tellingly now, as the larger populace gets increasingly disenfranchised by what Democracy has to offer to it.

I agree completely. We need to be grateful to Nehru & others for doing it in India.
