Shareef Taliban, soften's Taliban harsh Name ;)

Well, Peace talks has no harms, so why not... As war can't be win by swords alone. But here this thing needs to be tackled politically, while not even giving them full support, nor show them very harsh words. So the reply for TTP response was must. So, He did so, and I don't think there is some problem with it. Since most of the signs shows PML-N next tenor and JUI and Jamiat joining them. Also, made TTP to go towards PML-N for peace talks.

But here PML-N needs to understand to not to follow TTP's unnecessary demands. That's another thing that TTP ask the government to accept the demands not PML-N. so PTI followers are over reacting.

For what talk?? that betrayed our government and security forces in Sawat and waziristan under the shadow of peace deals and destroyed our strategic assets (Half of defense).

Ok, got the "unnecessary demands" part, what demands of the TTP do you think are "necessary"?

Well think of this way if our assessment on the Afghan Taliban & the TTP not being one & the same is correct, as it appears to be, due to the many factions that make up the Taliban with some infighting between them & the TTP, then perhaps when the TTP appears to be desperate for a peace-deal we should persevere on till they're neutered permanently.

On the other hand if our assessment is horrendously wrong & Mullah Omar's 'Na cheer Pakistan ko' rhetoric is little more than a farce & in essence the Afghan & the Pakistani Taliban are one & the same with the same objectives in store for Pakistan then perhaps a peace-deal is the better bet along with a withdrawal from the US led WOT & a withdrawal to the outskirts of the Tribal Agencies. Bring the people of FATA into confidence & let their Tribal Lashkars, handle the threat in a manner & place of their own choosing, backed by the Pakistan Army in much the same way the Taliban, backed by us, were able to defeat the Northern Alliance & virtually lock them in Panjsher.

Anyhow this is a conundrum that I do not want to find myself in & I do hope the Military Establishment has a game-plan but past experience doesn't really fill me with a lot of confidence.

What do you think our response should be ?

Please trust me that we know who and what is Mullah Omar's Talib and who are TTP - please be assured of this, the clue to this is in the choice of interlocutors -- It would good to know what our member Fracker thinks are "necessary" TTP demands

The people who organized and run the TTP are known, very well known, almost as f they were once our own :raise:

Oh come on it better not be a conspiracy theory !

So who are they ? :what:

I don't find anything special about this statement. Nawaz Shariff said what was expected of him. There is no harm in having peace talk with taliban.
The point is he is taking the mess off his shoulders and putting it on Government's head. He clearly refused to be a guarantor in the peace process, but talks about peace with terrorists.....bravo Shariff sahab bravo

Peace? & Even Shariah Implementation (not their brand but the real one)
