In a rather tragic turn of events, official spokesperson of Nawaz Sharif has clarified that he has no evidence of establishment interference in 2018 elections. He further stated that all statements against army leadership by Nawaz Sharif are of "political" nature, and thus requires no evidence.

Govt is beneficiary. It is opposition that should make such Truth commission to determine what went wrong, gather evidence and present it to people through media.

And also you’re right that Nawaz’s IJI was supported by the army in removing BB and winning the 1990 election, but also, not long after the army found him uncooperative and hence removed, remember that “will not take dictation” speech

I agree, [Nawaz] should atone for when he also used generals to help him land in power in the early 1990s and for undermining BB. And much more, even as recently as 2011, he either made a serious mistake or possibly participated in undermining the government at the behest of the ISI. He should answer for this too

If your only concern is "democracy as Quaid envisioned" then you should actually be the first one to care "which sharif" runs or wins. Quaid never envisioned dynasties, these political dynasties have rotten us to the core. No one will disagree that army shouldn't stay in limits, but any army personal can be at the helm of affairs for 2 - 8 years at max while these political families had their hands in the pot for the last 40 years and plan on having it for another 400.
