LAHORE: Former premier Nawaz Sharif, accompanied by his brother Shehbaz Sharif, reached London on Tuesday to continue with his medical treatment.

“Former PM #NawazSharif onboard Qatar Airways Air Ambulance A7-MED has landed safely at Heathrow, London-UK,” his personal physician Dr Adnan Khan, who also travelled along with the former premier, tweeted.

The PML-N supremo left Lahore airport earlier in the day, where an air ambulance – equipped with an intensive care unit and an operation theatre – had arrived from Doha.

Suddenly he will make magic recovery. Have seen this drama played out before. For Pak politicians illness the the ready made excuse to fall on in hard times. Remebering seeing Zardari in early 2000s. He looked like death. Then decade later he was picture of health when he became President.

Ah the benefits of modern medicine! :D

There is only one medicine for being out of power. Get power back.

Nawaz owes Mullah Deisel a big favour. I think with danger of Diesel's 72 virgin chaser rabble being let loose in Islamabad, joining in the disgruntled traders and PPP/PML-N on sidelines might have led to government quickly facing a existential crisis that even Gen. Bajwa would not be able to douse down. In this emerging threat Nawaz was let go so the opposition would break up and Diesel would be left high and dry. This is what happened and Diesel has packed bags, gone home.

The PTI government compromised for a very strong reaason.

Yep. The old IK would not have 'played' this but after two decades even his stubborness wore out and he saw the truth. Politics is dirty. In Pakistan it stinks. You can sit outside and give philosophies or get dirty and get inside to do something.

IK is not a natural politician. He would have made a great general. This hit me when I saw him being questioned by FT over the Uighur issue. I could see in his face. He struggled, nay laboured to weazel his way out. Boris, Blair, Trump, Modi could have had the blood of Uighurs on their hands and they would have spun rubbish as easy as a spider spins a net. IK genuinly looked uncomfortable fabricating his reply and struggled. You could see that in his face. Natural politicians are born liars. This trait is missing in IK.

@VCheng go to 4:20 and see is reply to Uighur issue. Blair smiled his way out of death of million Iraqi's, Bush mumbled his way through WMD's etc but IK struggled with this question.

Modi is an illiterate simpleton.
Actually, yeh fair point. He gets away with it because of India media give him free pass.

Media failed to report how many times Nawaz used washroom during flight. Crap media.

I would withhold judgement until his performance and results are available, and not mere hopes and claims. In the end, that is all that matters for the people of Pakistan.
