LAHORE: PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif said that his party would not award a ticket to any candidate holding fake degree. He asked elected representatives, holding fake degrees, to resign to avoid embarrassment. In a statement here Wednesday, he said that the candidates, who won election through cheating voters, had no right to represent the masses. He said that he had issued clear instructions to the PML-N parliamentary board in this regard. Nawaz said the PML-N had not given party tickets to holders of fake degrees in Lahore and Burewala and preferred non-participation in the election to compromising on the principled stance. He said the PML-N would not allow anyone to derail the democratic system and the party was prepared to make every sacrifice for the sake of democracy.
