NAVTEC gets 96,000 youth trained in various technical trades

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani appreciated the untiring efforts of NAVTEC chairman, Adnan A Khawaja towards achieving the objectives of Prime Minister’s ‘Skilling Pakistan Programme’.

Addressing the certificate distribution ceremony of Rangers Institute of Technical Education (RITE), the Prime Minister lauded the farsightedness of Adnan Khawaja and the effective role of NAVTEC and other relevant public and private sector departments in promotion of technical and vocational education and training in the country.

Prime Minister awarded appreciation certificates to the position holders amongst the participants of the course in various technical disciplines.

Chairman NAVTEC disclosed the total number of trained youth, through NAVTEC-sponsored courses, has crossed the figure of 96,000.

He said the NAVTEC was not only providing financial and technical assistance to its partner institutes but its teams were also keeping a regular check on the institutes and monitor their performance to achieve the desired results.
