The person who started all this rubbish is a known bigoted racist , celebrated the death of a soldier on other thread and openly expresses his hate against other ethnicities and races ... Absolutely the Government shouldn't have anything to do with religion which is to say it shouldn't be telling other people whether the should pray or not & to whom ?
Socio-Political, Economic & Legal paradigms provided by religion are another thing altogether. As a legal paradigm, I don't see any difference, principally, in the nature of Shariah when compared with (say!) Swiss Civil Code ! Which is to say both are legal paradigms.
Its the Government's job to be the Government for the people, of the people & by the people or so said some American schmuck with a funny beard & a gaunt look ! So if the people want it - Let them have it !
Maybe it's the negative propaganda here, but I don't think so. Why not just have something like the swiss civil codes instead of enforcing the shariah law if they are that much alike? Wouldn't the former be better in making the government seem secular and open to all?

Sadly , mate , they want work on existing designs easily available on Internet and nothing new or improvised , I guess that is because of financial issues and they dont want any failure - something which I was told in a quite stern tone by the project coordinator when I met him being the team leader ... He said " any failure will stain your C.V. and I was like what
