He is my polar opposite, however, very polite guy. I mean really really polite. The only thing common between him and myself is the love of Gajjar ka halva.... :D

@Armstrong @Hyperion Yo, whats up with the zarvan fellow. He sounds awfully lot like Anjem Choudary! :what:

YET he is a fundamentalist and the manifestation of the very phenomenon that you lament. I actually wanted you to come over to Delhi, your services would be much appreciated- you're ex-military, yes? I had a rather satisfying tussle with some fools belonging to a right wing module here- nothing is as satisfying as punching in a fundoos face, they seem to be emerging even here- any chance you could lend a hand?

The thing with Zarvan is, he can be reclaimed back from the dark side. He is not completely lost. :P

Come to Delhi? LOL... Why not! That is If you treat me to all the local cuisine, I sure will. :D

well shabab is out of the question for you now but kebab and sharab is not. :D Tell me though, I hear the current govt in Turkey is Islamist, has it doen anything to undermine what Kemal brought to Turkey? Come over man, we'll ride around town and own the fundoos, not many here but a dozen or so should not be difficult to find. After that we feast on some awadhi food and retire.

Btw how can you reclaim someone like him? All his posts drone on about sharia this and sharia that and if it ain't implemented we'll eradicate all the obstacles.

LOL.... be discreet you fool..... the Empress trolls the thread on a regular basis........:P Current government Islamist? LMAO..... are you kidding me? No dude. Not at all. They just changed a few laws that were brought in by the military in the 80's. They haven't touched ANY reform of Kemal Ataturk. These guys are 100% focussed on business. Nothing else.

AKP Is Islamic no? Well as long as they can keep Turkey's tolerant and vibrant image and spirit alive its all cool. Darn yaara, in a predominantly Muslim country they've kept Rushdie's novel legal while its publishing is banned in India, got to hand it to you folks- you know how to handle your stuff.

Btw what's Turkey's ultimate stand on Iran, if by some miracle they go nuclear will Turkey take some actions?

No dude, AKP is not islamist at all. They are very liberal. They just hate the military's interference in politics. I have known Tayip's family since his days in Istanbul Belediye. He is a very moderate guy, and a damn good businessman. I still deal with his son in law, we did some real estate projects together. Anyhow that's another story.

Hmmmmm Iran, well no one actually cares, most of the hoo haa you hear is actually about something else... :P

What is this something else? And you never did answer my question about Musharraf, he's returning to Pakistan- so what role might he play? And about the 2014 thing, its like 2014 will turn everything around and the terrorists will disappear and the fundamentalists will vanish- whats your take on it? And you had better answer this time.

@Elmo is back, she was kinda busy..... i missed her too....but not her creepy avatar.

Something else is .... well very complex matter to get into..... think of it like this, they are trying their best to substantially increase the footprint of "Made in Turkiye" label in the Arab world.

Post 2014, who said it's going to be all dandy? It's going to get way worse before it gets better. However, yes, Afghanistan will most definitely return back in our pocket. That's a done deal.
