Narcotics Control Bureau - Delhi Zonal Unit busted an International and Pan-India Level Drug Cartel

Union of India's Establishment, Ministry of Defence - Department of Intelligence Narcotics Control Bureau, Director General Rakesh Asthana IPS (Batch - 1984, Cadre- Gujarat) appreciated Union of India's Establishment, Ministry of Defence - Department of Intelligence Narcotics Control Bureau - Delhi Zonal Unit for a Major breakthrough in busting an International and Pan-India Level Drug Cartel and has Effected the Largest Catch of Cocaine.

Union of India's Establishment, Ministry of Defence - Department of Intelligence Narcotics Control Bureau - Delhi Zonal Unit cumulative seizure of cocaine is around 20 Kgs having international value of Rs. 100 crores. 55 Kgs Cocaine and 200 Kgs of Methamphetamine have been seized in Union of India's Territory - Delhi. The Total International worth of the seized Drugs from the Drug cartel is about Rs. 1300 Crores in Union of India's Market and in Pounds, Euros.

In Pan India Level Operations, 5 Indians Citizens, 1 American Citizen, 2 Nigerian Citizens and 1 Indonesian Citizen have been Arrested. Consignments of psychotropic drugs in Union of India were found to be sourced from Republic of France, United Kingdom Overseas Territories Including Australia and United States of America. The Shipments of Cocaine and methamphetamine were sent from United Kingdom Territory - Britain to United Kingdom Overseas Territory - Australia.

The Seizures made by Union of India's Establishment, Ministry of Defence - Department of Intelligence Narcotics Control Bureau have Reflected National and Global Ramifications which Warrants Deeper Probes to understand the Various linkages of these Narcotics Cartels.

Looking into the Gravity of the Offences, Union of India's Establishment, Ministry of Defence - Department of Intelligence Narcotics Control Bureau has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to further Probe Links of this Network and for Launching Effective Prosecution.
