Apparently constrution for Kochi Metro has started too.

Hyderabad Metro construction has commenced as well!

Hyderabad got its proposal approved in late 2006. The contract was awarded to Maytas in 2007 owned by now defunct Satyam. So they had to cancel the contract and redo the bidding. It was awarded to L&T last year. The metro rail is expected to come online in 2014 with 71km in phase1.
