Don't like the idea. Academy is far greater institution than airbases. What if it produces a greater hero than Asghar Khan? Would we rename it again then? Even common sense defies this logic.

I concur that, why not name it after some renowned Islamic figure, like Jafar Al Tayyaar ?

He was amongst those that laid foundations for the PAF. He was also the first native Commander of the PAF.

Oh as in terms of air bases, I thought the naming of the academy itself.

Pakistan Air Force Academy Resalpure is a good name and reference

This is how great nations honour their great heroes.
