N Korean defector shot on Chinese soil: witness

A North Korean human rights activist says he witnessed a defector being shot dead by the country's border guards despite the man having reached Chinese soil.

It is believed Pyongyang has launched a crackdown on people crossing the border into China.

The head of the North Korea Refugees Human Rights Association, Kim Yong-Hwa, was on a trip to the border between China and the secretive Stalinist state last month when he says he witnessed the shooting.

Mr Kim says after a North Korean man in his 40s crossed into China he was shot by border guards across the river.

He says several Chinese soldiers were standing nearby but did nothing.

Earlier this year South Korean media reported that North Korean border guards shot dead five defectors after pursuing them across the frontier into China.
Apparently North Korean jurisdiction extends into China, this is why North Korean agents can free roam in China and arrest 500 Chinese citizens. And there is nothing that Chinese can do or even protest about it. I recall that NK's chemical weapons plant built near the Chinese border was releasing toxic fumes into China when the wind was blowing from North Korea into China, and there was nothing China could do, other than to send in investigators to access the impacts.

A pretty shocking relationship if you think about it.

China Says North Korean Shot and Killed 3 of Its Citizens

SHANGHAI — The Chinese Foreign Ministry said Tuesday that a North Korean border guard shot dead three Chinese citizens and wounded one last week in northeast China, prompting the Chinese government to file a formal complaint.

The shootings took place last Friday at the China-North Korea border by the Chinese city of Dandong, in Liaoning Province, said Qin Gang, a Foreign Ministry spokesman, at a regularly scheduled news conference in Beijing. The four Chinese were residents of Dandong, and the North Korean guard believed that they were engaged in illegal trade across the border, Mr. Qin added, according to a report by the Chinese-language edition of Global Times, an official newspaper.

“China attaches great importance to that and has immediately raised a solemn representation with the D.P.R.K.,” Mr. Qin said, using the initials for North Korea’s formal name, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. “Now the case is under investigation.”

Well, at least the Chinese government did protest this shooting in China.

Of course neither respects human rights, but North Korea can extend its jurisdiction into China, shooting at Chinese and arresting Chinese citizens on Chinese soil.

That's the shocking part.

How about you provide a link about all your claims.

The Japanese newspaper Asahi Shimbun reports that potentially dangerous concentrations of sarin gas, a deadly nerve agent used most infamously in the First World War, was detected along the Chinese-North Korean border. While the detection took place in November 2008 and February 2009, the story only broke yesterday as the result of PLA sources talking to the newspaper.

North Korea Kidnapped Chinese, Report Says
November 17, 2009

Seoul. Pyongyang’s agents over the past decade abducted about 200 Chinese citizens as part of a campaign to stop people from fleeing North Korea, a news report said on Tuesday.

Beijing had never officially sought the repatriation of its citizens because of its “special relationship” with Pyongyang, the paper said.
Numbers vary depending on the report. In Korea, 500 is the estimated number of Chinese citizens kidnapped by North Korean agents on Chinese soil.

. . . .
So basically North Korea

1. dumps billions of dollars worth of fake dollar bills and yuan bills in China.
2. dumps billions of dollars worth drugs in China as primary cash earner.
3. Shoots at Chinese soil.
4. Sends agents to kidnap hundreds of Chinese citizens off Chinese soil.
5. Blow sarin gas fumes into China.

And there is nothing China can do about it. Some special relationship indeed. Why wouldn't China want to get rid of these people and face civilized South Korean citizens as neighbors across the Yalu river?

We don't want any Koreans near us because most of them are violent psychos.

Daegu subway fire - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Daegu subway fire was a mass murder suicide attack on February 18, 2003 which killed at least 198 Koreans and injured at least 147. An arsonist set fire to a train stopped at the Jungangno Station of the Daegu Metropolitan Subway in Daegu, South Korea. The fire then spread to a second train which had entered the station from the opposite direction a few minutes later.

Then you S Koreans should be happy, right?

Why the heck it becomes the pain in your SKoreans' @ss?

. .
Not really. We are just trying to understand why China takes so much crap from Kim Jong Il and his goons.

You must be mentally challenged if you don’t have this simple understanding: to pin you S. Korea down because you are enemy of China (Korea War).

BTW, is Jesus Korean?
