Mystery in Germany

And still turks feel disadvantaged from germans claim its because they are foreigners...:cuckoo:

Ah, maar natuurlijk! Onze goede vriend @Viet zegt dat hij in duistland woont...daarom dacht ik hem een beetje pijlen...

Wij zijn allemaal van duist bloed...minsten onze vanderlandlied...zegt het zo.

Ik bebrijp platlands duist ook heel goed. Bavariaanse is een andere verhaal.

Thanks, my friend...we always end up agreeing with each other!
Oh please don't use Plattdeutsch and Dutch here. That are languages of peasants.

Dear Viet,

I have treated you always with kindness and courtesy...why do you insult my language?

People who live in the countryside of Germany are move educated and kind than most cities in the world. Same for the farmers of my country.

I consider farmers to be extremely noble.

You disappoint me... @AndrewJin is perhaps right. @Götterdämmerung my friend educate this citizen of your good country that boeren zijn goed mensen. Thanks!

Yeah, I always thought it's kind of funny when I listen to Het Wilhelmus ... von deutschem Blut. :D

Well, German is only his adopted language, so, his German will always be limited. Particularly if he is one of those Vertragsarbeiter in the former East Germany, than Northern Plattdeutsch to him will be as foreign as Danish.

Why should I educate someone who is so ignorant of the country he benefits so much and yet backstabs her whenever he sees an opportunity. Plattdeutsch is peasant? What's so bad about peasant? Maybe he is a light eater and thinks ordinary food such as bread, legumes or potatoes are too vulgar. Here in my city, the richest families for at least 5 generations with business all over the world speak Platt and that nobody says it's peasant language. It shows how ignorant he is.

Not all Turks are like that. I've spent some time in Germany. Worked in the R&D department of a multinational German company. I had some German-Turkish colleagues that were really good at what they are doing. But you're true about some groups (which might or might not be majority, I don't have a specific statistic) does refuse to integrate society, refuse to give their children proper pre-school and primary education, refuse to give them good background to live decently and cry like a baby when the child fails when it becomes a teenager. Then blames German government for their own fault.

In Turkey very same mentality blames Ataturk for all of their mistakes. When abroad they blame the country that they are in. When in Turkey they blame secularists with pretty much same arguments. But not all Turks are like this. When you say "Turks do this and do that" resulting from the observations from religious&rural AKP voters and stereotype them for all of us, they also believe in that story (All Turks should be like us, even foreigners know that) and see us as an "anomaly". But there are so much people in Turkey and among diaspora Turks who are actually integrated to society and living like a regular human being.

@Götterdämmerung What do you think about my observations regarding Turks in Germany?

Yeah, I always thought it's kind of funny when I listen to Het Wilhelmus ... von deutschem Blut. :D

It is what it is. Let us leave at that...

I personally believe when people migrate to other countries they must adopt the culture and traditions and become active part of the community to contribute for the well being of that country...we have too many islands in Europe sadly.

Anyhow, you have a great evening.

Take care.

bahhh.. Germans. They over think and over engineered everything. But they are doing better than most countries.

Despite spending money and effort on scientific research, german scientists could not explain why Vietnamese pupils outperform in schools, surpassing even german counterparts. in school year 2013/2014, 47.2% German young people, while 64.4% Vietnamese visit Gymnasium. for one who does not know what Gymnasium is. Gymnasium stands for the top tier of secondary school, while Realschule for medium smart pupils and Hauptschule is reserved for losers :D

only a degree of a Gymnasium enables pupils to enrol to universities.

@Götterdämmerung
I think it's a couple of reasons, first Vietnamese who went to another country are people that are hardworking people. Much like earlier days of the US, where each new group of people establishes their own Mafia. Germans who left Germany to go to another country can be said to be better than the general population of the adoptive country too.

For example, what about the limited amount of Germans in Vietnam, they are usually well paid, well educated, and motivated, as well as very adaptive, so their children on average would perform better than local Vietnamese children.

Also, I believe it's this Western learning system, I have noticed that there is very little of the pushing to achieve in Asia that is apparent in the West. The West wants to see if we don't push you, how far will you go.

On a elite level this can produce, Lebron, Brady, and Jobs. However, on a wider scale, it's the lackluster graduation rate of the general populous and a crime rate that is unprecedented in the Eastern world.

Example is soccer system, Chinese schools train kids in physical abilities, while the dutch coach wants to train skills and the physical prowess will come later. You can train an Olympic athlete, but there is only one Lebron, a man that resembles more God than man.

I'm not sure how often you go back to Vietnam, but I can honestly say on average, the Western kids in Chinese schools are mostly from upper middle class families and they do very well compare to the average Chinese students, in facts it's not that close. The average Chinese student is just above the level of brain dead, same as any other nation, but there it is.

"Zu Hause, Mutter ist die Lehrerin". Its famous song in Vietnam (khi ở nhà mẹ cũng là cô giáo).

Ups ... is Dutch your mother language? I apologize.

Come on don't be so harsh to me. I had platt in school, that was a funny time but the dialect just sounds terrible and hardly understandable. It is not about rich and poor, but how platt is made up and its grammar compared to hochdeutsch. It is similar if I compare Cantonese to Mandarin

You will agree with me at some points if the people of cologne speak kölsch to you, won't you?

You again with third military bullshit.

No that is not what I am saying but the researchers of university of Hamburg are stating. They can't explain the success of Vietnamese students despite spending time, money and resources to find out the reasons. They call it "Rätsel". mystery.
Researchers?Scientists?
A research subject about "Why are Vietnamese students so outstanding?",LOL.
Your scientists are so cheap and so do their conclusions.
By the way,I am a peasant and i am so angry that you dare to insult my LIFE.
Shouldn't you apologize for your words,German noble?

yes, there are people who are trying to solve the mystery. that is not a joke. such as a group of professors of the university of Chemnitz that has conducted a research including an IQ test between Viet and German students :D

you can buy the research findings for 40 Euro. The study says Vietnam's IQ is 99.43, Germany's is 99.13.

however the research fails to answer the mystery :partay:
