Well from the information I have since long. Ghauri and Shaheen Flight path as available with Indians as well for test impacts is an area in the Gulf of Oman since all ballistic launches are monitored. This piece looks to be the separation plate of the boosters.. since the range is around 1500 km the flight time is around 11 mins and the boost phase can last upto 4 mins ... I think it pretty much gets to the dadu area.. lastly since the ghauri re-enters from above 200 km (as per a PTV documentary some years back) its remaining components if don't burn on re-entry maybe skip distance .. so ... a lot of fluid mechanics involved.. The missile did reach its target..

Only the Shaheen series is tested from Somniani into the Gulf of Oman, not the Ghauri. It s launched from Attock area into Baluchistan.

you dont make missiles that are supposed to carry nukes just drop its load anywhere.. u either time it to reach or self-destruct. no other way

@loveicon as i said its not spaceship material.... Its a man made.... However there are few questions to be answerd.... How come pakistani army tested a missile which flew over pakistani village? Not a wise move.... 2nd question was the material fall was result of sepration? If yes than why pakistani army tested missile over pakistani village knowing missile would seprate over village? 3rd was the missile shot down? As many missile tests like south korean, north korean, russian, iran etc etc been failed.... Or pakistani army hiding something? May be missile failed the test? Or was diverted by advance technology when greys saw missile flying to close to their base.... There are many questions to be answerd.... If pakistani army tested missile over village than its a shame because they didnt care about pakistani villagers life....

My Bad... Actually It was in the Water(Gulf of Oman being the water area on the balochistan coast)... Both Impacts are made on Water after the Initial Ghauri I Tests.. Might still need some update .. I did a quick check... Attock to tip of balochistan is around 1200 KM+ 300 ~ 400 KM round Trip there might be a site inside balochistan.. but was dual stage so it will be ghauri II and that has a range of 1500 - 1800 km.. so ... you are correct..

Nope, the flight can be aborted even to the last minute. The Ghauri isn't THAT primitive.
Pakistan upgraded the Ghauris (Nodongs) with the same navigation equipment used aboard the Shaheen series.

My speculation is that the debris was caused by the detached Post-boost attitude correction/terminal correction system.

Yes, the Re-entry Vehicle consists of both the warhead (and its related components) and a course correction system.

None of the Ghauri missiles are dual/two stage. And as far as I know, only one version (the present one) is in service with the ASFC, with 1300 km max range.

COMPLETE missile motors/stages (minus the solid/liquid fuel) are dispensed after the boost phase, which might weigh 1000s of kilograms. Usually the trajectories for IRBMs (and above in range missiles) are planned such that these stages fall in the oceans. But all of Ghauri's flight takes place over land.

But this one was made by him?.Ghauri missile...
So i will take his word on this...But it is possible that later improvements were made top the missile..All details are not released to Public domain.

He has been retired for long enough that he cannot be taken as an authority on the newer versions of the missile.

That was a LONG time ago. Ghauri has been upgraded at least once, with the course correction systems. If you recall an earlier Ghauri test, it had a white-painted section just below the red-painted nose cone, indicating that a new component is being tested.

And as far as detonation is concerned, it will either take place on the target or the flight would have to be aborted.

Moreover, as stated by Dr. Samar Mubarakmand in one of his interviews, Ghauri's "warhead" (layman term for the interviewer) i.e. Re-entry vehicle is being produced by National Development Complex, not KRL.

By the way i don't understand this, why don't pakistan test its missile towards Arabian sea from any place in Baluchistan ? There is enough barren land available in Baluchistan to make missile testing facility there near the coast, just like we have on our eastern coast. A missile with 1300 km range tested over your own land is pretty dangerous i guess if malfunction.?
