China is certainly helping it out to materialize because of her own ambitions in SCS and malacca region they need another very powerful ally like North Korea in her south.... nuclear Myanmar will be useful to threaten India too who is one of the biggest enemy of China..... there is little USA can do to stop nuclear program of Myanmar when China decides to materialize it.....

Members here should not underestimate the level of Chinese military and strategic cooperation with her 3 prime allies North Korea, Pakistan and Myanmar.....

If you look at the latest photos taken with the war in Rakhine you will see the equipment has improved a lot from years ago. Also are you one of those military extremest because a war between ASEAN countries is not possible because both sides will end up losing.

Listen there is article X in the NPT which allows a state to withdraw from NPT. North Korea withdrew from the treaty and made their own bomb.

If you leave Myanmar then there is Iran who also might have nuclear weapons or other states might also possess nukes. The European nations and USA won't allow the repeated use of article X.

Myanmar might face severe economic sanction if they revoke from the NPT.

Enough of the cock fight, please post relevant materials related to the topic.

Right now they don't plan to test its nukes..... the day they feel the need to test you will see them walking out of NPT.....

If you check even China Inspite of being a nuclear power had poorly equipped soldiers for many years.....

Indian troops conditions was so bad during kargil that I remember seeing 1 soldier wearing one black shoe and another white shoe.....that photo might be still available somewhere on Google.....it happens.... Burma is under modernization process and with comparatively smaller economy it will take them some time to change everything.....

But what I like about this nation Burma is they talk less and quietly keep doing their work..... not like India, Pakistan and BD.... all talk and no action.....

About malacca strait I mean powerful Burma is in Chinese intrest in case some other power tries to choke Chinese shipping lines then only China may look at Burma to help them by challenging the blockading power..... its not like Burma will keep harassing malacca shipping lines 365 days a year.....
In BOB also they need powerful Myanmar to keep India and Bangladesh in check.....

Anyhow, we need to upgrade intensively our infantry, starting from squad level. one by one. instead of continuously seeking big toys. Current upgrades are not enough and need to invest there more and more.

Look no further. This source from Japanese TV and from this year 2020. The Burmese space programme has already reached the stage when it is no longer a state secret and disclosure to the public is allowed!
