All the examples you cite are areas where Muslims form an overwhelming majority and are subjugated to an occupation by a foreign force.

In the case of Indian Muslims, with the exception of a few districts in Kerala, Assam, West Bengal and Bihar, Muslims are a minority, and that also a poor, dispossessed minority. Their condition is more equivalent to the condition of blacks in the US.

Muslims will never be able to "defeat" India (as you so think, when offering comparisons with Kosovo or Palestine). They have no choice but to live within India, with all of its shortcomings. Those with means (education/wealth) will migrate to other countries, and leave behind a poorer community. There are no easy solutions for us. We are stuck living within a majority that hates us.

Coming to your other comment - appeasement. What you think is appeasement is actually self-preservation. Every minority does this, though the degree of this varies. Muslims in the US (especially the immigrants) take pains to explain they are Americans first. Rallies by immigrants are always accompanied by US flags (lest the whites don't think that they are unpatriotic). The Chinese immigrants all around the world adopted local names and in the US coined the term "model minority" just to ensure that they are not treated like the blacks. When it comes to Indian Muslims, I am sure their self-preservation actions seem more pronounced to you, but they live among a hostile majority that has voted Nazis to power.

I understand what you say about preservation and that's fine as long as you've migrated to a foreign land.

But here we are talking about Indian Muslims who are understood to be the second/third largest Muslim population in the world. A population of around 200 million Muslims is not a minority by any stretch of the imagination brother.

The forefathers of these people ruled Bar-e-Saghir for a thousand years not as occupiers but as the citizens of the land. They simply adopted a new way of life and found themselves to be greatly empowered.

The attitude these days, however, is that it's now the turn of the Hindus to rule india and the Muslims should just roll over and accept their domination over the Muslims and that they are no longer the legitimate citizens of the land while also accepting all the oppression that is hurled towards them. This attitude as an excuse for self-preservation simply does not make sense.

Look at it this way, the Jews in Europe for centuries only concentrated on self-preservation. Hitler comes along, slaughters as many as he can in just 5-6 years while Britain rounds up the remainder, bags them, tags them and throws them in middle of Arabia and tells them this is where you (this particular race of white Europeans) now belong.

Is this what Indian Muslims are waiting for?
