Covering the face is certainly not unIslamic. There are numerous reports of the wives of RasulAllah pbuh doing it. For instance:

It was narrated by Abu Dawood (#1562) that ‘Aa’ishah r.a said: The riders used to pass by us when we were with the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) in ihraam. When they came near us we would lower our jilbaabs from our heads over our faces, and when they had passed by we would uncover our faces.

This was during ihraam when the general ruling is to not cover - yet when non-mahrams approached, the Umm ul Momineen covered their faces. So what of the situations outside of Ihraam? There are multiple narrations mentioning jilbaab and this one clarifies what type they wore (one with face covering option).

With regards to the argument that the Romans or someone else did something thus it becomes unislamic, is strange. The things Islam considered objectionable were banned even if they were deeply entrenched in society e.g alcohol or riba.

Face covering wasn't a big thing in Arabia before Islam made it so as there are multiple narrations indicating it became widespread within Muslims after certain ayahs were revealed.

With regards to triple talaq, for context, the ruling of giving talaq is something that was started by Umar r.a in his time because he felt people had started to take the matter of talaq lightly.

It was narrated by Muslim (1472) from Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with him) who said: At the time of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), Abu Bakr and the first two years of ‘Umar’s caliphate, a threefold divorce was counted as one. Then ‘Umar ibn al-Khattaab said: People have become hasty in a matter in which they should take their time. I am thinking of holding them to it. So he made it binding upon them.

There are some who feel that this was applicable at that time only but the general ruling sjall always be that which RasulAllah pbuh mentioned. Whilst others feel that this should become a permanent ruling.

What this should/shouldn't mean for the Indian government's move, I can't say. The question seems more about whether a non-Muslim government should interfere in matters of Islamic law or not given the situation there.

Tripple talaq in a single sitting should be considered single talaq... recomended way (by Prophet P.B.U.H) is to give one talaq after 30 days..

As far as i know Daughter of Mohammad PBUH fatima (RA) his wives khadija and ayesha R A. mother of Jesus christ RA Mariam, wife of pharoh of egypt are highest examples to follow for muslim women and none of these women RA ever covered their faces like they do now these days..

Muslims are to follow them and they only covered their beauty the atteactive parts from strangers as to keep modisty. There is no question of hiding one's face.
