Mukherjee says India wants official communication from Pakistan for seeking additional information

NEW DELHI, Feb 10 APP: Indian External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee said on Tuesday India expected official communication from Pakistan for seeking additional information from India on Mumbai attacks. “We would expect official communication from Pakistan whether they need anything extra and anything additional from us,” External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee while talking to mediapersons here.

“They (Pakistan) should communicate officially, then we will be in a position to deal with it, otherwise it is going to be extremely difficult,” Mukherjee said while responding to questions on Pakistan’s demands for more information on Mumbai attacks for carrying out investigation.

Earlier, Foreign Secretary Shivshankar Menon told newsmen while returning from Dhaka last night that Pakistan should directly talk to India.

“If they (Pakistan) have something to say to us, they should come and directly talk to us.” Menon said adding India will not react to “statements to the media, different statements through different people, through speculation and through guesswork”.

They were the one who declined every proposal by Pakistan of Co-operation and they were the one who were closing all the diplomatic doors and now when they are stuck they are saying this.

India must change this childish attitude and must co-operate with Pakistan Positively.

Official communication ? What official communication they want now when Pakistan already officialy sent them second set of question about Mumbai attack but India never replied or gave information asked in that second set of questions Pakistan had sought from India.

Now what made Purnab to come with this statement.

Isn't this what Pakistan wanted from the very start?
However, Mr. Mukherjee overshadowed our call for dialogue by trying to break important ties between both countries and with his constant threats with keeping all options open, it's kinda hard to have "official" communication that way.
Looks like they have finaly come to their senses?
I don't like the current attitude of the GoI towards GoP, completely disrespectful, so far India has seen that it has absolutely no use to try and threaten or demand so much from Pakistan, if only the could talk in a normal manner to our government, we could solve this case much faster.
