MQM to support Nawaz Sharif for PM slot

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain announced his support for the prime minister-elect Nawaz Sharif and his party, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Monday, Express News reported.

He said, the decision is being taken to uphold the interest of the country.

This declaration of support from the second largest party in Sindh bodes well for PML-N who emerged as the clear winner in the general elections.

Having won the highest number of seats in the National Assembly, PML-N is expected to form the next government with Nawaz as the prime minister, who has already been offered support by various independent candidates and political parties. Premiers of China and India also extended their vote of confidence to Nawaz after the general elections.

i dont think its obvious, MQM doesnt have military operation on their heads, its not 90s any more, MQM had a betrayal while being PMLN ally in 90s, they have got experience from that i dont think alliance can rule out any military operation in karachi, MQM cant say that since PMLN like PPP had most powers they couldnt deal with things themselves and MQM is going down now a days,

if MQM take this then obviously its utter MQM demise, there is obvious altaf factor playing all these dramas, but i cant tolerate it any further

if PMLN offers any such thing to MQM then obviously very low for them as well after getting abused like mr bean and ganja and hera mandi type gaalis

very bad for pak politics, no principles at all

The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has endorsed the decision of the Co-ordination Committee to give support to Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif for the office of the prime minister as a goodwill gesture. He said that the support given to Mr Sharif would be unconditional.

He said this while speaking to a joint meeting of the Co-ordination Committee. He said it was heartening that the democratic government in the country had completed five years and the formation of the new government was in the process. He said it was his desire to give unconditional support to the PML (N) candidate Mr Sharif in view of the critical situation of the country and the challenges facing the new government.

Mr Hussain prayed Almighty Allah to enable the new government to bring the country out of the current crisis, meeting challenges and providing real justice to the public.
