There is no doubt MQM has lost popular support that it enjoyed in 80s and beginning of 90s. The fact that, despite the MASSIVE rigging and terrorism by MQM, a new party was able to get more than 20000 votes from the core constituency of MQM is a clear proof for that.
Now given the history of MQM, this mafia organization can not survive without being in power. Because for it to survive, it must control police and other law enforcement agencies.
Altaf Hussain baar baar thook kay aur baar baar chaat-ta hay aur chaatey ga. This time they will contact PML-N and try their best to get some concessions. In fact, they will try to be part of ANY govt, no matter who forms it.
But I bet, the peaceful protests by PTI and silent majority of Karachi has given a big kick on the fat behind of Altaf Hussain. Insha Allah, soon Karachi is going to get its lights back.
So what do you guys say about MQM being in opposition? Are we supposed to hear many more hatred filled Bakwas from Altaf Hussain or will it try to keep a low profile?
