MPT-76 Battle Rifle | News and Discussions

This guy is infantry, good but i see these kind of undisciplined guys in every unit.Commandos,JOH,POH even special forces. But the good thing is they are very seldom.

Heard your MPT-76 has recoil problems?
Read after post #262,to summarize no.Army tested the rifle and had no problems. It is just some undisciplined personnel who make it look like it has excessive recoil.

MKEK is a little slow with producing these new rifles. Only 200 delivered since 2013. BTW this rifle has some impressive specs, you can cock it silently, a big help on the battlefield, especially on missions that require stealth. And according to the reporter in the video the rifle is the only rifle in the world to pass all tests with 100% success. My personal favorite is that its ambidextrous (for left handed and right handed shooters)

The first 200 are for testing and evaluation. It's tested to make sure nothing was overlooked and that it performs well in real life scenarios, and to make sure the production line is reliable and consistent. If it succeeds in that final test, full production will start 2015.

Those were for evaluation. Serial production is not started yet.

SSM will decide on the serial production and will give a go for MKEK.

"Sesiz kurma ozeligi" is what he, the reporter said isn't it. That means silent cocking, then the soldier silently cocks the gun. That %100 successful testing might be media bullshit or maybe the truth, I can't say anything about that but I believe in the other claims like ambidextrous use and silent cocking because they proved it in the video

All AR's are ambidextrous from what I know. Idk man if you ask me they are trying to make the gun seem more special than it actually is. Im sure its fin and everything but I wish it was unique looking atleast.

Welcome to the forum. :victory:

I think MPT has the potential to become a first-rate battle rifle that fires a full-power cartridge.

Assumably, the MPT's contender rifles during the "test" were those that use a non-intermediate cartridge such as G3, FN FAL, AR-10, MK 14 and so on, in which case it could have been the case.

We saw bunch of MKEK people cock the weapon and released the bolt M-16 style, was not silent. However, I'm sure you can manipulate the charging handle and bolt release button in a manner which will cock the weapon silently, making sure to press also forward assist button so that the bolt has locked on to the barrel.

Certainly not a feature designed for MP76, just another AR....
