'Mosque can be built at a reasonable distance from Ram Janmabhoomi,' says Shia Wakf Board

After the partition?
No Ayodhya by Babur,

Other two by Aurangzeb

They have taken over the temples dedicated to 3 of the most revered gods in the Hindu panatheon - Ram (Ayodhaya), Krishna (Mathura) and Shiva (Kaashi)

Hindu temples in Hindu majority country overtaken by Muslims and we have to just sit on our asses like nothing happened

That's ancient history man.

Aren't you 70 years too late?
And if you decide going back to 1947 July. Things will get messy

Oh the fight for these sites is going on since independence. The "secular" congress govts did not want to hurt muslim sentiments while as usual the Hindu sentiments are easy to be trampled upon.

The Hindus tried to persuade Muslims to give the sites up from 1947 - 1992. That is 45 Long years. But the Muslims did not listen to reason. On 6th December 1992 the hindu anger boiled over and the Babri Masjid was torn down. But even after that 25 years have passed and we have not build the temple and are waiting for the court verdict.

The Hindus have shown extreme patience, something which no other community would have shown - certiainly not the Muslims had the situation been reversed and there would have been a Hindu temple in a Muslim Majority country which had been built by tearing down a Mosque.

The problem is this patience of Hindus has been mistaken for their timidness allowing the "secular" parties to trample over the Hindu Sentiments.

Periodically the Muslims also try to needle the Hindus and when the Hindus retaliate the Muslims pull out their victim card. Case in point - the Gujarat Riots. The narrative in Pakistan, the "secular" media and the left liberal intellegensia is that muslims were killed in the riots. What it completely glosses over is the trigering point of the riots - the burning alive of 59 hindu pilgrims returning from pilgrimage to Ayodhaya by the Sabarmati express. These people also manage to paper over the fact that more than 250 Hindus were also killed in the riots - mostly by police bullets

In conclusion what I am trying to say is that dont mistake hindu patience for cowardice

Shahnawaz Hussain is current BJP Spokesperson & Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi ex vice president & ex Spokesperson for long time both are Shia, Perhaps these plans are made by both of them.
also BJP using shia as a tool against sunnis, & trying to split muslims into 2 groups & used them against each other.
just watch the video of Subramanian Swamy what he say about muslims , 01:00:00 he is signalling 7% muslims with us & in india 7% is Shia who Support BJP ,
i am sorry i am not against Shia but this is fact.
if Babri Masjid site is belongs to Shia,s then where were they earlier ? why they not file case against Sunnis?

Was this a pre partition issue too?

Like the British had almost the same Constitution.

You need to make it a law

Before partititon hindus did not have power. It was colonial British Law. Before that it was the Mughals who destroyed these temples.

Tell me honestly - had the situation been reversed would the Muslims have so much patience?

Do Muslims not think Hindus as cowards because they did not use force to take what should rightly be theirs but instead tried mediation and court cases?

Muslims divided themselves based on that question.

Those who thought they were culturally same people and life will continue as under British Raj aka secularism state level. Thex stayed.

Those who saw it a no go moved.

Traditionally let me be honest about it we thought we were are whatever better rulers than Hindus since British Raj left the mughal policies of princely states intact pretty much.

Its an issue for those who do not believe much in Indian secularism post 1947, but maybe some troublemakers would make it an issue.

Actually during the 1857 war , In Ayodhya , Mahant Ramdas and Maulavi Amir Ali as well as Shambhu Prasad Shukla and Achchan Khan , two religious Aryans and two Hindis were hanged side by side by the Goras
