Five projects have been approved by CDA (Capital Development Authority) under which 23,827 housing units will be built. The projects amount to a total of Rs. 18 billion and will be built as a part of residential sectors in the federal capital, Islamabad.

This decision was made during the 45th meeting of the CDA Development Working Party (CDA DWP). The meeting was held under the supervision of Chairman CDA and attended by members of planning and design, officers of the planning commission, engineering and Ministry of Interior.

The meeting focused entirely on residential development as all the agenda items related to the development of sectors, which was usually looked ignored in the past. During the CDA-DWP meeting, the PC-I amounted to Rs. 6630.2 million for the development of the E-12 sector was approved by the party.

Under PC-I, the primary facilities comprise of complete infrastructure of the sector would be developed. Other than that, the meeting also approved the development sector I-15, which made PC-I amount to a total of Rs. 5656.24 million. Rs. 3112.162 million for the development of sector I-14 was also approved, while Rs. 2618.25 million for sector I-11’s development was also approved.

Misleading article by stupid Pakistani journalist. CDA will basically build some roads in new sectors like I-12,14 and I-15 and sell plots. One cannot build 23 thousand housing units with just Rs18 billion.

This is basically what CDA does to generate funds. But they are quickly running out of land from Islamabad to sell plots.

.
I think Islamabad is already overpopulated, it is better to develop such houses in other small cities who are much backward and underdeveloped.Cda should be banned from selling plots as their job should be focused on maintenance and preserving beauty of capital for which they are failing .Selling plots increase risks of corruption as money goes in pockets of corrupt officers of cda

.
Better be it in a proper planning like rest of the ICT
