Moldova and Romania a united future ?

Yes,the video is 3 years old but the problem and its ramifications are very much actual,especially today when Moldova is faced of with Russian imperialism.

Moldava's situation is very bad with massive emigration,main thing is though if common people want it.

If I am not mistaken, both Romanians and Moldovans speak similar languages or at least can understand each other quite well.

Not "similar"...the SAME language,Romanian one.

As a short presentation the modern Romanian state came to be in 1859 from the unity of 2 Romanian Principalities....Moldova and Muntenia.Moldova was the one which actually began the Union ,so it's very much the starter of Romanian unification,that's why it's so important for us.

As a short history my grandparents(both sides-mother and father) came from today's Moldova running from the Russians in 1940.

Romania needs to gather some international allies and convince Moldova to join the union with Romania. If it takes too long there is a chance Russia will invade all of Moldova. Putin is remaking the Soviet Union. Eastern European Nations need to be united against the Russian Empire.

Even if everybody agrees,we can't today.The barely rising economy would take a massive hit.

We're poor but rising( 5 times per capita more than Moldova),Moldova is dirt poor.3.5 million new dirt poor citizens would sink us.

Then wait few years for Russia to roll in with its tanks. Romanian politicians are corrupt and don't seem to care too much about their people.

Well,from what i've seen ,the plan was to keep Moldova on an European road while our economy got better which it's doing...3,5% rise last year (biggest by far in the EU) up until sometime around 2020 when we calculate that we could have absorbed the shock of a Union.

The problem with all of this,as we see today,is russian imperialism.Time is running out for our brothers.Despite all of the accusations we don't really need that land,no rich mineral resources.It's just a historical correction which needs to be rectified.

I would personally survive on bread and water if that's what it takes for reunification,don't know how many of my countrymen would do.

It is not possible right now for any kid of union, it would be interesting to watch Russia's next move. But Putin is definitely acting like a school yard bully.

Putin'g goal is Moldova member of his Eurasian union.If that happens that barbed wire border you've seen in the video goes up again and our brothers are lost forever.Keep in mind that Moldova has a 23-25 % russian/ukrainian/gagauz/bulgarian minority which is 100% pro Russia (all descendents of colonists brought in while the Romanians got deported/killed-in the 19th century the region had 90% romanians by russian census) so ,adding to this the usual traitors,it's hard to fight for their European road map,but they struggle.

Perhaps that percentage would rise over years.in 2000etc. not many wanted moldovans in romania.
