Moin Akhtar to be waxed for Madame Tussauds

LONDON: The world famous wax museum Madame Tussauds has expressed its wish to include a statue of a Pakistani actor for the first time. The actor who has made up to the list is none other than the legend comedian late Moin Akhtar.

The one of its kind museum is famous for displaying waxworks of historical and royal figures, film stars, sports stars and famous murderers.

Considering Akhtar's extensive work in the field of arts, the museum has contacted his family in Pakistan.

With his unmatched acting skills, production and singing, Moin Akhtar entertained the audiences for 44 long years.

The late actor will become the first Pakistani whose statue will be included in the Madame Tussauds.

I think this is news of the day for me

There was only one wax statue from Pakistan (Benazir Bhutto) and now another Pakistani will join. Madame Tassauds would look even better if more Asian looking faces are found over there

No until 8 years ago there were only Benazir Bhutto, Mahatma and Indira Gandhi's statues in the wax museum.

The prime focus of Madame Tassauds was to display revolutionary leaders of the world but nowadays any Bollywood actor whose movie gets a success is waxed in that museum. Same is true for Hollywood though.... A part from the mentioned celebrities there is nobody from South Asia.

yeah, could be , Imran Khan also has a decent shout, so do Jinnah, if Gandhi is there, surely him.

as for other Pakistani legends mentioned, I would assume it probably has to do with not having a strong Pakistani lobby there to present our legendary artists and historical figures.
