An Egyptian court has sentenced ousted president Mohammed Morsi to death over a mass prison break in 2011.

The former leader has already been sentenced to 20 years in jail for ordering the arrest and torture of protesters during his time in power.

Morsi was deposed by the military in July 2013 following mass street protests against his rule.

Since then, the authorities have banned his Muslim Brotherhood movement and arrested thousands of his supporters.

This is why the middle east is in such a chaos. The fault is with us, the citizens. We change our minds constantly. One day, Saddam is the hero of all the Arabs, the next day, they want him hanged. One day, Assad is the most popular leader in the middle east, and then he suddenly becomes the worse. Egypt wants democracy, thousands die, but then everyone changes their mind. The story is repeated again wherever you look. No long term plans, no real vision. Just emotional outbursts that create heroes & enemies out of movements day in and out.

Very very bad........... he is among my favorite personalities .............:(

terrible. people of egypt were never free since the days of the pharaohs. morsi was a rouse by the junta to deliberately bring him in to fail. egyptians/arabs are the most stupidest people in history. they want change but cannot manage change. may be it is true they need someone to treat them like donkeys with a massive size cane.
the junta has massive economic interests in a parallel economy. they were never going to give them up. entire egyptian force is a hollow paper tiger. they are engrossed in daily domestic affairs - do you think they can do their true job?
Where is sisi and his cronies trial for thousands they have disappeared and brutalised?
Pathetic country in overall sense which means nothing in the global sense of the world.

I love how Egyptians deal with Islamists

.
If Egyptians stay silent over this, it will lead to a time worse than what was under Mubarak.
I don't think Egyptians accept this, especially not the MB supporters, a large part of Egyptian population. You can expect a revolution in Egypt. This time they will settle scores.

. . .
Not just Morsi, but many other Egyptian MB officials, even the cleric Qaradawi. The funniest thing about this is they sentenced several Palestinians to death also.

Here they are:

Hassan Slamaah(19 years has been Israeli prison)
Raad Aatar(Hamas armed wing commander martyred in 2014 struggle)
Tayser Snimaah(Hamas armed wing commander killed in 2009)

..............

This clown regime thinks we care about their childness, we don't. But this move is clearly sending a message to Saudi Arabia and Arab world that there will be no Arab unity and that Assad regime will remain in power and Egypt will not support it's sponsors in any way in that regard.

Saudi arabia and the other nations who sponsor this regime need to get this regime under control quickly or we will lose our trust in Saudi Arabia and a civil war will break out in Egypt.

If Morsi is sentenced to death by the Mufti, it will be interpreted as a Zionist evil jew executing a Muslim leader. Don't be suprised if Sisi will be blown up soon after that. If he does it he better run away to Europe/US as soon as he can.
