Air India Boeing 747-437 (registration VT-ESO) performing VIP flight AI1 from Bordeaux Merignac Airport, France, to Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport, India, with Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi onboard used Pakistani airspace.

We need justification to close airspace. If we do it without valid reason, the international body (i dont remember name) can fine us and force us to open it again. So we need solid justification to do that (heard in a TV program told by Gen (r) Amjad Shoaib). He further said that Feb airspace was closed after Indian attack. he also give example of 1971 incident where India used hijacking to close airspace.

Why pakistan dont block indian air route is i think Pakistan can not block air route due to international law otherwise will have to pay fine. Pakistan will need a reason to do so which also permit by international law.
