Generalization done on the basis of certain isolated things is unfair. In this case its a question of millions of Dalits and their discrimination at the hands of minority elite class and above all its based on the discriminatory division Hinduism have drawn.

This is not an isolated incident.

The laws indeed are there and appreciated but sans implementation these render useless.

The more disappointing thing is the mentality which still prevails and which is even decreasing the effectivness of laws.

You do not know much speak only about incidents if it is isolated do not generalize.

If there were another incident open and discuss in another thread if there is major incidents involving whole community then obviously it deserves another thread.

Btw why do open anti Indian thread in Pakistan affairs section ? If you do not find a place to pen such topics then probably its forum policy.

On the other hand, Dalits are empowered now like never before in indian history...till recently dalit leader like Mayawati was the front runner for the post of indian PM before last indian general elactions.

This is progress but it doesn't help a Dalit when he is not able to enter a temple.

A dalit not being able to enter a certain temple most probalby reserved for upperclass inside a small town of Tamilnadu is a local issue of Tamilnadu and dont usually happens in most other parts of india .Also Dalits have their own temples in Tamilnadu where upper caste people dont go.

And read article again to see the TamilNadu Govt did its best to make sure that those Dalits do enter into the temple inspite of some protests from socalled "mob".

Above issues are different though because the Dalits are not following a different sect of Hinduism. Dalits are treated this way because majority Hindus in India think that Dalits are 'untouchable' from the time of their birth and for the rest of their lives.

This is shameful and disgusting. imagine a 8 yr child told by his peers that he can't play with them because he is an untouchable or achooth.

and where did I say it was right to blow up a Shia mosque and Ahmedis are non Muslim because they don't meet the basic tennant of Islam.

This is really shameful, I have never seen such thing in any other part of the world.

How it is different than the dalit issue?

Blowing Shia mosques are declaring the ahmediyas as non muslims is as same as refusing dalits temple entry.
