Mistaken Identity: 2 Armymen Killed, 1 Injured in Firing

Two army personnel were killed and another was injured as an army team fired at another mistaking it to be militants in central Kashmir's Budgam district today, official sources said.

Troops of 53 Rastriya Rifles set up a vehicle check post at Chattergam chowk, 20 kms from here, in Chadoora area of Budgam following information about movement of militants through the area, the sources said.

A team of 35 Rashtriya Rifles men travelling in a civilian vehicle did not stop at the check point, giving rise to suspicion among the troops at the check post, who opened fire.

Sepoy Ghulam Rasool Sheikh, Naik Setien Tao of 25 Rashtriya Rifles and Territorial Army driver Abdul Rauf were wounded and admitted to the 92 Base Hospital at Badamibagh Army headquarters where Sheikh and Rauf succumbed, the sources said.

Rats bite off jawan’s toes in Delhi hospital

NEW DELHI: The feet of a paralysed special forces officer was bitten by rats in the Base Hospital in New Delhi after which the Army has ordered an inquiry into the incident to fix responsibility.

The young Lt belonging to an elite Para (special forces) battalion of the force was admitted here in hospital after he was injured in a counter-terrorist operation in J&K about three weeks ago.

The incident came to light when hospital authorities found the paralysed legs of the officer bleeding, Army sources said. An inquiry has been ordered and strict action would be taken against whosoever is found to be responsible for the incident, they said.

There is nothing to discuss in these type of topics. Avoid them.

For civil discussion we can't have glorification of the death of uniformed soldiers or freedom fighters.
