Missed chances to grow Pakistan/Turkish cooperation

Due to lack of our Government I feel we have not fully utilized the Pakistan-Turkish collaboration avenue fully. Or even Military exchange process

I was thinking the mere minimum should be an exchange of Military base of 5,000 units stationed in each other's country , and of course wheer Pakistani Troops get stationed we station our Goodies along them. A symbolic gesture of sorts

How can this cooperation expand beyond the framework between two Independent Nations

a) An offer of JF17 for Turkey ?
b) T129 contract with Turkey ?
c) A Joint Tank Production (Altay /Al Khalid ) successor
d) A joint Financial Model between Turkey / Pakistan connected with SCO ?


While the talk of free Trade were awesome and also lot of talks of purchases etc but what is really stopping both countries to open a reciprocal Military base in each other nation


I feel the speed or action taking from Pakistani Side feels soft or slow

Pakistan is two generations behind in Industrial technology as compared to turkey..most of Pakistani finished products will not pass Turkish quality controls..while many Turkish projects cannot sustain in Pakistan due to lack of industrial base.

T-129 contract will soon took place as for JF-17 Turkey didn't needed it and we had our weapons only thing we needed was sniper pod which we got. As for Tank Altay is way to heavy for us but in AL KHALID II project Turkey is giving us many things. What we should have bought with Turkey is MRAP and IFV and also co develop a joint future soldier program.

Not just in defense sector but we have missed out on many other opportunities, both with Turkey and China because of our incompetent government.

Joint Brrack exchange would be fantastic , 5,000 Soldiers from Pakistan stationed on humanitarian mission in Turkey , and 5,000 Turkish Troops in Pakistan for Humanitarian and educational/training exchange

Seems logical? The Two offices can then plan various joint missions and training programs down the line
