For a model, there are more qualities to judge upon other than looks. Like walking ramp, speaking, versatility, a good connection with a popular clothing line and international clout.

And I think this competition wasn't purely based on looks? I remember have watched some time wasting program recently where the Karachi young girls were busy taking street photographs and then they edited those photos for some competition they were part of ........ I don't remember if it was this Miss Veet or something else .... but both the girls I watched on tv looked okay .... not that model type material.

People have lost focus on the word 'model', and don't realize that the word carries the weight of being someone that one should try and emulate. There are tons of pretty faces around the world, and especially Pakistan, but that is not what a model is. New generation might not know what exactly a model is and that is unfortunate.
