Will it simulate 737 MAX realistically?
not 'meh' as long as it gets the job done. FSX is a bit of a paradox, just have to find the right scenery and aircraft that agree with your system and all is well.meh system with 16GB RAM i7-3770k and GT640 3GB cost me around 400 USD 2 years ago. Have the good old Logitech Joystick to supplement it. Planning to go VR with FSXX/ DCS.
Will wait for reviews before jumping into XX.
I'd recomend a TrackIR before anything, it makes even the default Piper Cub the most fun thing in the world
but then there's 2 aspects to simming, there's the whole "study sim" and military hardcoreness nerdy bit
and then there's the leisure/fun/"gaming" and beer session with the guys thing to having a little bit of a setup.
Pedals and a trackIR, bro ! .. those will take your existing setup, limitations and all, up a lot of notches, turn it to 11 essentially.. give you more miles for your buck than a massive gpu/cpu/mobo/ram/display etc etc headache upgrade.
