. . . . .
It would be much better if these women took voluntary steps to protect the human rights of women in central Sindh rather than riding bicycles in the poshest areas of Karachi. Their audience will be young boys looking at them from their bedroom windows and that's it.
Pragmatic steps for women rights are much needed in Pakistan to lift women out of their misery. The clown show by the Lyari girl's cafe is just a ruse to make those rich women feel better that they are doing something better in the society other than sipping Rs.800+tax coffee all day at the cafe.

I really don't know why girls do not ride bicycles or motorbikes? while Muslim hijabi girls in Malaysia, Indonesia, Iran etc commute using scooters / motorbikes. I think it is better for girls to use bicycle than using congested public transport.

Good to see Girls from Liyari doing this ..
Lyari girls but the venue is DHA phase VIII :lol:

. .
Still part of Karachi , anyway maybe they are going from Liyari to DHA ?
It is like chaiwala who has smelled the coffee :lol:
It shows how ideological these girls who are using the name of Lyari but want to strut their complexities and greeds on avenues of DHA. These are NGO paid girls..nothing else. If they had any commitment and ideological stance otherwise, they would be doing it in Lyari. And as I said, I'm in favour of girls riding bicycles but this kind of promotion is counter productive.. because we will see the "meri jism mera marzi" crap as well.

Lyari has a baluch population..
i think baluchs will be really pissed off if they see their girls riding cycles openly in public.
Balochs are very protective of their women and honor is everything for them.

what more empowerment do the girls want, they have already destroyed job market for the men. Thy get educated but refuse to work and want easy life with a man as sole earner.

Have been saying this for years. I'm not saying it's a useless step --- I'm sure some good may come out of it.

But the real work is actually protecting women who essentially have no rights at all.
