Not a single inch of our land will be or can be ceded from China, President Xi Jinping told the National's People's Congress.

Beijing: President Xi Jinping on Tuesday said that China won't cede even an inch of its land and was prepared to fight the bloody battle against its enemies.

"Not a single inch of our land will be or can be ceded from China," Xi said on the concluding day of the annual session of the National's People's Congress - China's Parliament.

"We are resolved to fight the bloody battle against our enemies," Xi said at the Great Hall.

China fears secession by Taiwan and Hong Kong.

Taiwan is a self-ruled island, which Beijing claims as its own and vows to unite it with China one day.

People in Hong Kong - a former British colony and now a special administrative region of China - resent growing interference by Beijing.

Xi's views were echoed by Prime Minister Li Keqiang.

"China is resolute in upholding its own territorial integrity and will not abandon an inch of its own land. China will not take and occupy an inch of land of others," Li said in a press conference on the closing day of the NPC session.

China is slowly getting out of the peaceful and calm demeanour, which often gets misconstrued by its rivals as a weakness, and starting to act like a military power in the region. Taiwan is too small, too close and too isolated that none can defend it if China decides to invade it. It will simply be overpowered.
China will play more dynamic and active role militarily in the future which is a natural step forward after economic stability and technological indigenisation.

So now China acting like a true superpower , Good For us.

It is message for all the rivals and do you have any doubt that india is not an enemy of China?

Enemy is a strong word considering that they rarely fought any real battles since 1962. I maybe wrong but India does recognise Tibet and Taiwan as being Chinese territory. I believe that the message is more for Taiwan than for India considering that Taiwan recently voted in a separatist party as government. Possibly also for the US and its allies over the South China Seas debate. I don't believe that India or any other country would be stupid enough to start supporting eg. Tibetan separatists from China since they would get their asses kicked.

. . .
Chinese will know their limitations and will portray their stupidity and weakness to the world.
