A total of 217 teams with 25,633 medical workers had been sent to central China’s Hubei Province to help combat the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) by Feb. 14. More medical teams from China’s Guangxi, Guizhou, Heilongjiang, Hainan and other provinces and regions were sent to Hubei on Feb. 15.

Largest-ever medical support from Shanghai set to depart for Wuhan
A total of 156 medical personnel from Shanghai General Hospital will depart for Wuhan on Tuesday to aid in the battle against the COVID-19. This medical team includes 60 doctors, 90 nurses, and 6 management staff. In addition, another team of 156 medical staff from Shanghai Renji Hospital and 50 from Shanghai 6th Hospital, among other teams of medics from several medical institutes of Shanghai have formed their respective support units for Wuhan. This will be the largest medical support from Shanghai amid the coronavirus outbreak.

2月10号，武汉同济医院教授林正斌感染新冠肺炎去世。这已是自NCP肺炎爆发后有媒体报道的第三名感染去世的医生。第一位死在前线的是湖北省中西医结合医院耳鼻喉科医生梁武东，于1月25日感染去世。2月7日凌晨，武汉市中心医院眼科医生李文亮，不幸感染，抢救无效于7日去世。
到目前为止，因感染新冠肺炎去世的医生，已有6名。
