Mastermind of Kamra Airbase attack arrested

LAHORE: The mastermind of the Kamra Airbase attack has been arrested. The suspect is believed to have provided financial and logistical support for the airbase attack, DawnNews reported.

The Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack at Kamra Airbase on August 16 in which two Pakistani soldiers died, while nine terrorists were killed in the counter attack.

Sources also mentioned that a person named Tajammul was also arrested yesterday from Kunarh area who gave residence to the attacker in his home. Shabaz, another close ally and relative of Tajammul, who also arrested, is also believed to be involved in planning the attack.

Security officials also said that four more associates of the attacker were arrested from the areas of Taxila, Qasur, Multan and Lahore. The number of arrested culprits has now reached nine.

Security officials also claimed that the attackers were away from their home for more than two months. Initial investigations revealed that they belonged to a banned outfit and trained at Kunar province in Afghanistan.

I think all these pigs must be killed and their bodies hanged on main road of their towns. a brutal action is needed.

If they are presented in courts, they will be released because criminal laws require evidence. Most of the anti-terrorist work is intelligence based and some times there is no physical or admissible evidence. This is where a responsible government steps in. Our government is anything but!

We need anti-terrorist laws. Right now we have penal code which does not accept text message or mobile phone logs as evidence! Courts cant make laws and they cant convict these terrorists either. Thats why there was call from army chief that we need laws.

This government and its attitude is best summarized by Rehman Malik. This man has shut off all the mobile phone networks of the country only to show how efficient he is.

The government can make law in only 20 minutes to protect Raja Rental from prosecution from the court, but it cant make laws to prosecute these terrorists!!! They keep telling us that parliament is supreme.
