The Orange train will serve only 2.2pc of Lahore’s transport needs and 0.2pc transport needs of the people of Punjab who will pay 14 billion annually for it.
The yearly operational subsidy will be Rs14 billion, which is almost equal to the combined annual budget of five largest hospitals of Lahore -- Mayo, Services, Jinnah, General and Sheikh Zayed 2015-16 budget was Rs15.6 billion.

13 Million children are out of school in Punjab alone. For a population of 21 crore we have only 1150 hospitals in whole of Pakistan, with just 120k beds. In such a country, spending 300 billion on a train is criminal and its as if govt. is intentionally keeping those children illiterate and murdering those patients.

It is like if you get a new carpet for your house with the school fee of your child or get marble flooring instead of getting medicine for your sick children. This is criminal negligence, only if our people could understand this.

What can you expect from pseudo intellectuals of PMLN those have failed to understand the consequences (environment, Antiq buildings and international laws) before starting this project.

The project it self is good if it was controlled by proper planning but as usual our "pakistan money laundering nominees(PMLN)" once again is responsible.

Most of the time these ultra big projects are not the brainchild of politicians but big business houses and various cartels. Politicians don't understand jack about infra or economics most of the times. There are many more people/businesses, those will get billions out of these projects. There companies outside Pakistan earning good $$$$ of importing metro trains high-grade steel du8e to this projects. There are contract/construction/transportation mafias, real estate cartels making more money and giving cuts to politicians. It is not only politicians but entire system which includes 80%-90% non-politicians who wants this kind of projects to grow.

Fruits of corruption... your political parties are tooooo corrupt and yes don't think that Pakistan army cannot do anything... also, a best friend is f***ing hard with chocolate flavoured Corden... Can't say milking because that could be too Vedic...

I never understand the reason... why Pakistan is always be a "gud se meetha ya phir neem se kadwa" type... why they cant foresaw the benefits of economic strength...

look at China, steady and rapid economic growth with US help... once the economy became a mammoth... look how they treat US... I really admire China on almost every aspect... with just only one negative (so called)... freedom of expression... but again you can't have everything...
