LAHORE: District Coordination Officer Lahore Naseem Sadiq stated the district administration with the coordination of the Suigas and WAPDA teams had launched a massive crackdown against electricity and Suigas stealers in the entire city.
He said that today the district administration and Suigas team jointly conducted a raid on a polythene manufacturing factory located at Gulshan-e-Ravi on Friday morning and caught red handed four persons including factory owner and his brother stealing Suigas. Naseem Sadiq told the media that the accused were stealing gas since long.
They had been arrested and their factory had been sealed. Similarly, a raiding team leaded by Irfan Khalid, Senior Admin officer, conducted a surprise raid on Malik Yaqoob Soldering traders located on Bund Road and arrested two persons over stealing gas. The raiding team also sealed their factory. Naseem Sadiq has appealed the citizens to identity gas and electricity stealers.
Meanwhile, special raiding teams of the CDGL paid surprise visit to different shops of the city and recovered 5200 packets of banned Gutka. The team conducted raids on Raiwind, Nishter Town, Samanabad Town, Bhatti and Shalimar Link roads. Raiding teams also imposed a fine of Rs.32.500. The DCO Lahore has appeal the citizens to identity the shopkeepers selling Gutka.
