why is it always for the women to make sacrifices? why cant just men quit their jobs sit back at home watching saas bahu and handle the kids or the internals of the family?

I think if you think about yourself instead of your spouse, there is bound to be problems. Think about your partner, play your part well.

If your partner also thinks about you more than himself, he would definitely look up into your personal interests and both can talk out how to work out things.
