'Many will starve': locusts devour crops and livelihoods in Pakistan

I feel very bad.
I also do agriculture, so I understand. So much hardworking but all destroyed.
We don't have locust but we have big rain and flooding. Some years ago all our rice destroyed by flooding. I stopped college for two years because of this.

This problem requires unprecedented corporation between India , Pakistan and other countries who will get affected by it ..

Also I am scared with locusts and Grasshoppers , Please kill them before they reach Karachi , Last time they didn't manage to come to my area but who know this time they make it here .

mmm. I'm not advocating anything. You can use anything in that sprinkler. It doesn't have to be pesticides. There is no need for the military to use fighter jets.

Yea, no one should be using fighter jets to kill locusts. That's a very bad business model.

The best thing so far is to try and catch them.....the more clever the method the better. Maybe grind the captured locusts and use them as fertilizer?

Yup, it has high protein. I think making a good food from this is not a bad idea.

The problem is the perception behind eating locusts. Most won't agree to eating locusts because they might think it's a lowly source of food.

Personally, as long as it's disease free and tasty, and halal, which it is, why not?

Some people in Indonesian village do eat this locust. They even sell locust dish. I think it is halal.

Looks good!

Locusts are the only insect allowed Islam. In Jewish Laws, they're allowed too.

And locusts have many health benefits if no pesticides are used on them to control their general population.

You're free to try and catch them and friend them or use them as fertilizer. But it's not like fishing and when locusts eat all your crops, grinding them and making em fertilizer will not be the first thought that comes to your mind. Bring practical solutions when your livelihood is threatened. Once you can control the locusts then grind them or eat em.

Yes sir they hide inside the sand and Earth and make holes their and lay eggs. You can google it for more details.
