Malaysia announces restricted movement order after spike in Covid-19 cases
PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin says the government will impose a restricted movement order from March 18 until March 31, 2020 to deal with the rise in Covid-19 cases.
He said this in a special address on Covid-19 on Monday (March 16) night.
Among the measures included to combat Covid-19 are Malaysians prohibited from travelling overseas. All foreign tourists and visitors are barred from entering Malaysia.
Malaysians returning home from abroad are also required to undergo health screening and a 14-day self-quarantine, said Muhyiddin.
