Make a disaster grab bag

@Valar. Thank you for bringing this up.

@RescueRanger
I have an emergency shoulder bag and still need to add some tools. If possible, can you share some brands of the said tools?
Sure thing:

You don’t have to buy branded tools but if you have a little money the ones I really recommend are the following:

Knife:
Esse / Mora or if you can source one Ka-Bar are all excellent knives. I own all three and Mora is a very hard wearing full tang knife and the most affordable too.

Multi-Tool: victranox, leatherman are good options entry level Leatherman multi tools in Pakistan start at 8000 rupees, can be found online for as little as $35.

Axe: Gerber Gator is an excellent entry level axe, but being honest any cold steel hatchet small enough to stow on the size of your pack would be suitable.

Shovel Multitool: axe, shovel, spade, knife all in one, various brands available- the best one is the MFH Folding Shovel as issued to the German Military.

Scissors: any tough cut EMT shears will do. These are very cheap and worth every penny.

You don’t need all of these get what suits your needs.

I hope this helps.

@RescueRanger , Thank you for keeping this thread alive. Much respect. I have this thread of "watch" and I just come here to drool over all the tools and stuff. :lol:
Aside from disaster prep, I always thought of this as a cool idea. Never really had the chance to get hands on this stuff and a day out.
