You d be surprised. Being bed fellows of the government will get you instant transfers, on demand, to the place of your liking.

Naah not when they are bedfellows for the government.

Do you actually know that state can even give lands for free for industries? That Congress govt in Gujarat gave Adani land for 1 INR. Or Maharastra has promised to give Land and Tax concessions if they decide to make Apple phones at their state? Or free lease land offered to some industries based on the govt's whim and fancies? Every state can make concessions to make "one" particular company invest by giving them specific incentives.

Its just everything has to be transparent and provided its not somebody's else land.

The officer questioned the benefits of this proposal to the govt and this resulted in the transfer.

What I heard in news & from baba ramdev interview is that nobody wanted to buy that piece of land. Maharashtra government had no buyers at all. Ramdev also said he's willing to sell the land at the same price If anyone wants to buy from him. Still no buyers for that baren piece of land.

What benefit does the state of Maharastra can get in giving incentives to apple? Moreover even decisions are taken on Majority vote. So does it. Its not as if Patanjali is asking MH to invest for it right? As long as the land is not disputed, as long as it is not farmer land, and as long as they invest money , give jobs, procure from farmers, there should be no problem.

it was a minority opinion. even in judicial decisions one judge may have completely different opinion from others.

What benefit does the state of Maharastra can get in giving incentives to apple? Moreover even decisions are taken on Majority vote. So does it. Now that depends on what Apple has to offer to that particular state, if the analysts of the government think that it is beneficial then they will provide the firm the required source else they will reject the firm's request for resources. And this has happened many a times. Well if decision is taken on majority vote, then fair enough but why punish someone for disagreeing with your decision.
