Madrassah Teacher rapes 10 young girls in Karachi, filmed the act too

*KARACHI: Karachi Police on Wednesday arrested a madrassa teacher for sexually abusing at least 10 young girls in Korangi area of Karachi.*

The man named Alam Ghouri sexually abused at least 10 girls aged between five and 14 and filmed the act on his cellphone camera.

Alam was arrested after an area resident lodged a First Information Report (FIR) with police claiming that four years ago, Alam Ghouri not only raped his daughter but filmed the act.

The complainant claimed that her daughter was 14 when the incident occurred and now the accused is blackmailing him with the video.

After the arrest, police recovered at least eight obscene videos from his cellphone and have registered other cases on the department’s behalf.

“I am ashamed, my reputation is tarnished, just kill me, shoot me,” the accused said.

This is not the first time a person of respect is accused of such a heinous offence. In February, a school teacher in Okara was arrested for sexually abusing and filming young students.

Earlier in January, the country was shaken by the rape and murder of seven-year-old Zainab Ansari in Kasur.

Kidnapped on January 4 and found from a garbage heap on January 9, Zainab’s autopsy report suggested that the minor was sexually assaulted before being strangulated to death.

The culprit named Imran Arshad was arrested on January 23 after a DNA test proved that he was behind the rape and murder of Zainab and at least eight other girls in the city.
