I think the present IK administration is not right in totally ignoring military aspect in the whole Kashmir situation. The diplomatic needs to be combined with a military pressure as well.

You talk about India's utility against China. Surely the most OBVIOUS CONSISTENT AND STRIKING utility is that of Pakistan against India that China has used for 50 YEARS (As did the USA for 30 years showering free money and weaponry on Pakistan because India would not accept US hegemony) . Pakistan is China's cats paw against India to keep India busy and offer no competition to China in Asia. Pakistan has played that role for China and yet India is accused of being created as a counter weight to China.
India is nobodies counterweight. Xi and Modi will have their biannual summit at Varanasi in October. He will be the Chief guest of Putin at Vladivostok and keynote speaker for the development of Eastern Russia where Russia wants Indian conglomerates for joint development
