Long Range Tango Foxtrot "Take down"

A PA Sniper team (shooter and spotter) armed with a Accuracy International Arctic Warfare rifle, took down a Tango Foxtrot (Taliban Fighter) at nearly 2,000 meters - in NWA, range was confirmed, when KIA was recovered - and a laser range finder calculated distance.

Conditions were perfect and the team used a number of rounds to zero in, the spotter was invaluable in this process.

The PA are regularly achieving kills in excess of 500 meters, specialized software = which also collects information on environment such as wind speed, and atmospherics, is helping our boys.

The Tangos are absolutely terrified of our Sniper Teams, that they have offered huge bounties for them dead or alive.

Pamphlets have been distributed in the Tribal Areas that state the way both the Sniper and his rifle are to be treated if captured, this is the level of terror.

The rifle is just a beautiful piece of kit, it is a work of art.

There are different variants of this rifle I wonder which was used. Few years ago in Afghanistan similar rifle achieved a world record kill.

Not aware of the exact variant - but we are a large operator of this and other sniper rifles, in fact in our new military doctrine, snipers are incorporated into the smallest military unit.

Marksmanship has become even more important than before, with inter-unit competitions.

The Army may chose to reveal it to the public, there are security considerations, - there are many similar feats in the current operations.

My First post on this forum , Here is the video which my brother gave me as he is in ops area , the video is made by some FF unit as they got hold of some great camera . In the Video a Pakistan Army Sniper kills a taliban at a distance of around 800 m , I calculated the distance by speed of 0.50 cal x time .

First Pakistan army soldiers are observing the movements of these scums and then final a pair decided to take a shot , the shot is taken after 3:10

Most Probably 0.50 cal aka rangemaster was used.

For a 2000m shot---that would be the .50 caliber rifle. Pak sniper's should do 1000 yds shots with their .308's sniper rifles. 500 m shot nowadays is an average shot----the terrs are taking our soldiers down with 1000 yds shots with their Russian sniper rifles.

Lets hope this long range kill is recorded, just like US & British troop did during the war in Afghanistan & Iraq.

Apparently the sniper and spotter teams are very effective in killing talibunies.
