They are not attuned to realities on the ground.

They also believe in north/south divide. They perhaps are not privy to the fact that South Indian Hindus are more rabid in their Hinduism than north Hindus

For example, there are a significant Hindus over here who are pro-BJP, who seem to be from south - figure that.

I have 3 South Indian friend and we only fight when they try to push their conservative Hinduism to me

I can attest they are more hardcore Hindus than us.

So you believe none of this hurt the Indian diplomatic effort. Access to NSG and blocking Masood Azhar were very strong motives of India. To believe that China with its veto has not hurt India is deluding oneself.
