Three soldiers were killed when the Indian border forces opened fire on a Pakistani check post on the line of control (LOC) on Tuesday, reported Express 24/7.
Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Spokesman Major General Athar Abbas, talking to BBCUrdu, confirmed that the Indian border forces had opened fired on Dudniil check post in Neelam Valley sector on the LOC.
He said that the assault was unprovoked, and the sector commander had protested with his Indian counterpart in a border meeting.
Major General Abbas said that the three soldiers were from the army’s Mujahid Battalion.

Three Pakistani soldiers killed in Indian border firing

KARACHI: Three Pakistani troops were killed on Tuesday night when the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) opened fire on the border, DawnNews reported.

Speaking to BBCUrdu, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Maj-Gen Athar Abbas confirmed the incident and said that the Indian side had resorted to firing at a check post in Dudhnial region of the Neelam Valley sector.

The military spokesman, however, did not say anything about retaliatory fire from the Pakistani side.

Mr Abbas said that an army commander of the area had raised the matter with his Indian counterpart after the incident. An investigation into the incident had been initiated, he added.
